Where Hotspots Fail
Hotspots depend completely on nearby cell towers. That makes national parks, Angeles National Forest, the Mojave Desert, rural highways, backcountry campsites, and offshore waters predictable failure points. Even a carrier that works in town may have no usable tower beyond the next ridge. Starlink uses a sky view instead, so it can create a connection in the locations where the hotspot cannot establish one at all.
